ARCHITECTURAL COLUMNS
Functioning as both sculpture and structure, these columns create a unified appearance across a range of architectural applications. Alone or in combination, the columns can serve as pedestals, pillars and pilasters as well as free-standing sculptural forms, indoors and out. These columns can also function as bases for tables, counters or other furniture foundations. Whether as pure adornment or practical component, these designs are scalable to a variety of sizes and settings.
Weight-bearing capacity varies by size and shape. Some designs can be filled with concrete and rebar to increase their strength. Nevertheless, do not use these columns for any heavy weight-bearing without adequate testing. Consult with the artist regarding specific questions.
